Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi says they are “learning from their mistakes” following their defeat against Young Africans in the Toyota Cup.
Amakhosi fell to a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Young Africans at the Toyota Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The new Chiefs coach played an inexperienced side, which featured the likes of Nkosana Mbuthu and Mfundo Vilakazi, while Samkelo Zwane and Mduduzi Shabalala were also named in the lineup.
Nabi admits they are learning from this experience and looking to build stronger performances as they prepare for the new season.
“It’s obviously disappointing, today’s loss, but it’s a friendly game, we are busy learning from our mistakes and we’ll build a strong team, definitely,” Nabi told SuperSport TV after the game.
“Despite the loss, great things did happen and we will build upon those good things that happened to make great performances in the future.
“I’d like to congratulate Young Africans on the performances today, we have a young team that lacks experience, they are learning, and will learn from their mistakes, we will build a strong team.”
