Black Leopards midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange announced his arrival in the Absa Premiership after claiming the Goal of the Month award for September/October.
The 26-year-old has now became the first Leopards player to win the monthly award following his half volley against Baroka in the league on 3 October.
Nange’s goal, which came from a aerial scramble in the 18-yard area towards the end of the game, is now considered as a contender for the Goal of the Season.
The Leopards midfielder was selected from a shortlist of ten contenders, which includes Orlando Pirates’ Vincent Pule’s goal against Baroka, Jabulani Maluleke’s stunning free kick against Bidvest Wits and Ayanda Patosi’s strike against Pirates.
Each of the goals selected during the monthly voting will go towards the list of goals that will be voted for the Absa-lutely Goal of the Season at the end of the season.
