Orlando Pirates defender Alfred Ndengane says he has adapted well to life at the Buccaneers since joining the club during the January transfer window.
The 32-year-old has become a regular in the Buccaneers starting line-up, having already made 11 appearances for them so far this season.
In his most recent game, Ndengane put in an impressive performance that saw him walk away with the Man of the Match award during Pirates’ 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows on Saturday.
‘Ever since I came here I felt at home because for me to come early, I had to learn a lot of things, how the team plays, and for the time [it took] to come here it was not difficult because I’ve learned a lot of things,’ Ndengane told SuperSport TV after the game.
‘It’s going to be another tough game, I know how they play and even the team [Celtic] know how I play, so we gonna go there and see how it goes.
‘It wasn’t easy, we came here knowing that Golden Arrows is a well-coached team by coach Steve Komphela, I know him very well.
‘We were expecting a tough game, so we had to grind the results. After scoring, we had to be smart and not add numbers [upfront] so we are not caught in transition. We had to manage that.’
