Former Qarabag striker Dino Ndlovu says Khama Billiat has to be fully committed to his football if he decides to make the move to Azerbaijan outfit Qarabag.

The Zimbabwean international has recently been linked with a move to the Azerbaijani side after spending five years at Chloorkop, where he scored 46 goals and assisted a further 42 from 138 appearances in all competitions.

Ndlovu, who enjoyed a successful spell at Qarabag, says the Sundowns forward has to be fully focused and committed to football if he wants to work under head coach Gurban Gurbanov.

‘My advice [to Billiat] is that he needs to be 1000% committed to the cause if he moves to Qarabag because the coach [Gurban Gurbanov] there doesn’t take prisoners, he is like a dictator,’ Ndlovu told KickOff.com.

‘He doesn’t like players who enjoy nightlife, players who go out to nightclubs. He knows everything about the city, he controls everything. He will tell you at a certain time you must be home or else you will be fined. The following day he will ask you, “Where were you last night and what time did you get home?” and when he does that is because he already knows the answer.

‘He wants his players to be committed to football. He wants his players to drink, eat and sleep football – nothing else. If it’s true that Billiat is going to Qarabag, he needs to think football and nothing else. His life must be football and other things must come second.’

Billiat has already managed to win three Absa Premiership titles, the Caf Champions League trophy, the Caf Super Cup, the Nedbank Cup as well as the Telkom Knockout since joining the club from Ajax Cape Town in 2013.
