Mamelodi Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca is set to reject any opportunity to leave the club this transfer window.
It has been reported that Belgium outfit Cercle Brugge was keen to bring the Bafana Bafana defender back to Europe, but according to his agent, Mike Makaab of ProSport International, he will remain with Masandawana.
‘The coach that we were engaging with is no longer there. Anele is staying with Sundowns. He has a lot to prove. He has sustained injuries.
‘At least now he is going to have good pre-season. He is fit and playing very well,’ Makaab said as he ruled out the possibility of Ngcongca exiting Sundowns.
Ngcongca joined Sundowns at the beginning of the season following his nine-year stay in Europe but has played a rather underwhelming first season back in the PSL.
