Mamelodi Sundowns have announced that Denis Onyango has signed a four-and-a-half year contract extension at the Chloorkop-based club.
Onyango signed for Downs in 2011 before establishing himself as the No 1 in 2014.
The Ugandan goalkeeper, who was named in the Confederation of African Football’s Best XI and was the only African-based player in that side, has developed into one of the continent’s top stoppers at Downs.
Mamelodi Sundowns and Denis Onyango agreed on a contract extension of four and a half years. The Ugandan goalkeeper is currently the best goalkeeper in Africa having been named in the Confederation of African Football’s Best XI.

The contract extension will see Onyango’s time at the club eclipse a decade, should he see it out.
The keeper has won three league titles, the Caf Champions League title in 2016, the Caf Super Cup and the Telkom Knockout.
