Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango would welcome the possibility of competing with Richard Ofori for the No 1 spot at the Brazilians.
The 34-year-old old has been Sundowns’ first-choice keeper for nine years since joining the club from Mpumalanga Black Aces back in 2011.
Although Sundowns currently have four goalkeepers on their books – Onyango, Kennedy Mweene, Reyaad Pieterse and Abram Ngcobo – the club has been linked with the Maritzburg United shotstopper.
However, Onyango admits he would welcome the Ghanaian to Chloorkop as he doesn’t have a problem with healthy competition for the first-choice goalkeeper spot at the club.
‘I don’t have a problem with competition. Richard Ofori can come. He’s welcome,’ Onyango told Power FM Sport.
‘I won’t be greedy because I can’t play when I’m 40 or 45 or 50. Others will have to take the team forward. And Ofori was here before he went to Maritzburg United.’
