Venezuela striker Gustavo Paez says his main target is to become an important part of the team and contribute to winning trophies.
The 26-year-old arrived at the Naturena as a free agent and has spent the last two seasons playing for Venezuela side Sociedad Civil Estudiantes De Merida.
The Venezuela striker says he is relishing the chance to play for ‘one of the best in Africa’ and playing in front of the home fans at the FNB Stadium.
‘I have already seen some television footage of Kaizer Chiefs games. It’s a big club, one of the best in Africa, and the supporters are simply amazing. They create such a great ambiance in the stadium,’ Paez told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
‘I am looking forward to playing in front of the fans.
Paez says he feels honoured to have joined a club of Amakhosi’s stature and will be hoping to win silverware with the club in the future.
‘It is undoubtedly a wonderful opportunity to join the Kaizer Chiefs Family,” the 26-year-old concludes.
‘It’s my goal to become an important player for the Club and contribute to winning trophies.’
Kaizer Chiefs will next take on Free State Stars in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.
The match at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
