Kaizer Chiefs forward Bernard Parker has urged his side to be more ruthless in front of goal following their 1-0 victory against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup on Saturday.
Parker’s lone-strike in the first stanza seperated the two sides and despite garnering victory, Parker called for Amakhosi to be more relentless in front of goal.
‘It was a boost for us on the field and I’m happy that we came out with a win,’ he said in post-match comments.
‘With my frontline, we created a lot of chances, we tried to break quick and we did, but as we got into the final third we can be a little bit more ruthless, just 10 percent more, we would come out with a lot of goals.
‘But other than that, it’s a learning curve for us, we are looking good and we looking solid.
‘Well done to the guys that came in, Ryan [Moon] and [William] Twala, they did the job. This year we want to achieve our goals,’ he concluded.
