Kaizer Chiefs have announced that veteran forward Bernard Parker has signed a one-year contract extension, with an option of a further year.

Parker joined Chiefs in 2011 after returning to South Africa from Dutch side FC Twente, and could now see his stay at Chiefs last until 2021.

The former Bafana Bafana forward has scored 53 goals and provided 33 assists in his 249 games for the Amakhosi, and has been a stalwart over the last few seasons for the Glamour Boys.

The 32-year-old has played 26 times across all competitions this season and is continuing to contribute to the club, with his experience proving vital after the injury to club captain Itumeleng Khune.
