South Africa international Ayanda Patosi wants to leave Cape Town City to make his loan spell at Iranian side Foolad Khuzestan FC permanent.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan at the Iranian outfit from the Citizens and has been enjoying his stint at Foolad Khuzestan after joining on a six-month loan deal.
The former KSC Lokeren midfielder has since made four appearances in the Persian Gulf Pro League this season, finding the back of the net twice.
Patosi is hopeful that he has impressed the Iranian outfit to offer him a permanent move to Foolad.
‘I’m enjoying my football [in Iran], I’m telling you. Now I’m in the team and I’ve been doing good with this team. I’m happy, also,’ Patosi told Far Post.
‘Hopefully, they [Foolad] will come up with an offer to buy me out from Cape Town City.
‘But we will see after the [national] lockdown … I want to stay outside. I love South African football, but I’d rather play outside for now.’
Over the course of his career, Patosi has scored 40 goals and assisted a further 57 from 241 appearances across all competitions playing for KSC Lokeren, Cape Town City, Esteghlal FC, FC Baniyas and Foolad FC.
