Baroka have bolstered their squad ahead of the 2019-20 season after capturing the services of former Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town forward Gerald Phiri Junior.

The Malawi international has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Bakgaga after parting ways with National First Division side Ajax during the past season.

The 26-year-old is set to return to the South African top-flight after failing to help the Urban Warriors gain promotion back to the Absa Premiership.

Over the course of his career, Phiri Junior has managed to find the back of the net five times and assisted a further eight from 39 appearances in all competitions, while playing for the likes of Bidvest Wits, Platinum Stars and Ajax Cape Town.

Bakgaga have since confirmed on their official Twitter page the capture of the well-travelled player.
