Orlando Pirates have confirmed that midfielder Abbubaker Mobara has returned from his injury ahead of the Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
The 24-year-old last featured for the Soweto Giants when he captained the side in the 1-1 draw against Polokwane City in January.
Pirates took to their official website to publicise the details of Mobara’s return in addition to commenting on the progress of newly-signed Zambian striker Augustine Mulenga.
‘Mobara has been declared fit and injury-free by the medical department after passing his fitness test last week,’ read the statement.
‘Meanwhile, newly signed forward Augustine Mulenga is said to be making good progress with regards to his injury.
‘According to the medical staff, the 27-year old has been responding well to treatment but will need to undergo a late fitness test this week to determine his availability for the weekend,’ the statement read.
