Orlando Pirates have announced the departure of left back Phetso Maphanga after the club agreed to release him from his contract.
The former Cape Town All Stars left back, 25, has now become the latest player to leave the Buccaneers going in search of game time elsewhere.
Maphanga joined the Soweto giants from Chippa at the beginning of 2018, but has only managed to make one appearance before he was loaned back to the Chili Boys for the second half of the 2018-19 season.
‘The player requested to be released from his contract and the Club has agreed to his request,’ Pirates tweeted.
‘The Club would like to wish Maphanga the best of luck in the future.’
