Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes that Kaizer Chiefs have a strong chance of winning the Absa Premiership title this season.
The Brazilians are set to welcome Amakhosi to Loftus Versfeld Stadium to battle it out for top spot in the league.
Sundowns currently sit in second place in the league standings with 17 points, trailing log leaders Chiefs by two ahead of their much-anticipated clash on Sunday.
However, Mosimane believes that his side are running their own race as Chiefs did not take part in the MTN8 and are not in any Caf competitions.
‘At this point in time‚ we have played seven games more than them and they are fresh‚’ Mosimane told the media.
‘They are watching us and dealing with injuries at training and that is why I am saying they have a chance to win the league.
‘We are going to play our third game in six days and we are not running the same race. They don’t have top eight and Caf … nothing. They just train‚ play and win and they have more energy than anyone else.’
Mamelodi Sundowns against Kaizer Chiefs kicks off at 3:30pm.
