Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is expecting a ‘tough game’ against Cape Town City in their next Absa Premiership encounter at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Monday.
The Tshwane giants failed to close the gap on log leaders Kaizer Chiefs after playing out to a 1-1 draw with Highlands Park at the Dobsonville Stadium over the weekend.
Sundowns have now played three games in the space of six days and have managed to collect two points since the resumption of the league.
Mosimane will be hoping to return to winning ways as he turns his focus to their upcoming game against the Citizens, who registered their first win against Chippa United on Friday.
‘We don’t complain about the number of games, we have played games back to back but the challenge is the long layoff and not having proper training. To get the rhythm that we are used to is not easy and you can see, I am not happy that we did not win the game,’ Mosimane told his club’s official website.
‘It is good to give the younger ones a chance; the younger ones recover quicker.
‘It is always a tough game against Cape Town City, they like to play like us at Sundowns. They are a ball playing team but we will continue.’
Mamelodi Sundowns against Cape Town City kicks off at 6pm.
