Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane heaped praise on Bafana Bafana international Andile Jali claiming that he is rediscovering the form which made him a household name in the country.

The 28-year-old endured a difficult start to life at Chloorkop after leaving KV Oostende in April, however the Bafana Bafana international seems to be back to his best , most recently picking up the man-of-the-match accolade in his sides 1-0 win against Chippa United.

Pitso praised Jali for his leadership qualities in addition to praising the likes of Hlompho Kekana, Tiyani Mabunda and Lebogang Maboe.

‘I needed [Tiyani] Mabunda to come and help Andile and [Hlompho] Kekana in the midfield. Andile Jali showed great leadership, he is slowly getting to his level.

‘Lebo [Lebohang Maboe] was losing balls on the sides. He was looking good, but not really convincing. Not biting.

‘Very difficult game but at the end of the day we came to [Mdantsane] and got three points.

‘The first 20 minutes, the quality was there. But Sundowns, they are good people. They are not shrewd [ruthless]. We should have wrapped it up in the first half. We had clear chances,’ he concluded.

Masandawana occupy fourth spot in the Absa Premiership table, six points behind leaders Bidvest Wits with two games in hand.
