Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has singled out midfielder Andile Jali for his performance against Tshwane rivals SuperSport United.
The Brazilians walked away with the bragging rights in the latest edition of the Tshwane derby after edging Matsatsantsa 2-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium over the weekend.
Even though Jali’s poor defending led to his side conceding a penalty that was converted by Dean Furman, but Sundowns fought back to secure the win and all three points.
However, Mosimane praised the experienced midfielder for showing his class and character to bounce back in the match.
‘AJ (Andile Jali) played a fantastic game, you could see the class, he is such a good footballer player,’ Mosimane told his club’s official website.
‘I’m so happy for him, he’s coming up and after that big mistake, that’s when you see your top players, he never went under and he kept playing, that shows the character of the player. He’s a top player.’
