Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he is impressed by how Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat has matured as a footballer.

The Zimbabwean forward has enjoyed a bright start to life at Amakhosi, having already scored five goals and assisted a further four from 11 appearances in all competitions since joining the club from the Brazilians during the summer transfer window.

Mosimane opened up about how players like Percy Tau, Bongani Zungu and Keagan Dolly have matured and developed at Sundowns, while making a special mention of Billiat, who has been one of Amakhosi’s key players so far this season.

‘Khama came to us when he was 23 and the level he is right now, you can see he has matured. He is a very good player, we worked on him for five years,’ Mosimane told the media after Sundowns’ 1-0 victory over AmaZulu.

Over the course of his career, Billiat has managed to score 75 goals while assisting a further 71 from 243 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of Ajax Cape Town, Sundowns and Chiefs.

Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Bloemfontein Celtic in their next Absa Premiership encounter at the Dr Molemela Stadium on 3 October with kick-off set for 7:30pm.
