Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes Percy Tau has the quality to a bigger club following his loan move to Belgian top-flight outfit Club Brugge.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker is set for another campaign away from the club after joining Club Brugge on a season-long loan.
The 25-year-old South Africa international spent the last term at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and returns to Belgium for another stint.
Tau was signed by the Seagulls on a four-year deal but is yet to feature for the first team.
Having previously shared his thoughts on Tau’s previous move to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Mosimane still believes that the Bafana Bafana forward should be playing for a bigger club in Europe.
‘Club Brugge is a good club. They had their success and they remain a big club. At the moment it’s Anderlecht conquering that space. Of course, it’s better than where he was,’ Mosimane told the media.
‘When he plays well at Club Brugge, he will be able to move to other countries. But I think he had the ability to go to a bigger country. I had the people calling me to say the boy should come to La Liga and Ligue 1, seriously. Look I don’t want to say anything because he has people guiding him. I’ve done my work with Percy, I’m done.
‘He comes to me for advice and to bounce off anything, but I did my work with him and the door is open. I’m happy he is going to a better team. But I’ll always say he could do better.’
