Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane would like to make two ‘strong’ signings during the January transfer window.
The Brazilians ended their three-game winless run in the Absa Premiership after defeating AmaZulu 1-0 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The win leaves Sundowns second in the league standings with 21 points, having now won six games, played out to four draws and conceded two defeats from 11 appearances in the PSL so far.
However, Mosimane has since confirmed that he will be looking to bolster his squad by signing one local and one international player during the next transfer window.
‘It’s important for Sundowns to sign one good player. We must sign [at least] two players in December, one or two strong players,’ Mosimane told the media.
‘Maybe one [local] and one from outside because sometimes that kind of tournament [Caf] you need players that when he comes he can play at the same level of Sirino, same level of Themba Zwane.’
Mamelodi Sundowns will now focus on the Caf Champions League when they welcome Petro de Luanda to Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 9pm.
