Goals from Themba Zwane and Jeremy Brockie helped the Brazilians secure the first-ever Shell Helix Cup after their 2-1 victory over Amakhosi at the FNB Stadium.
Mosimane believes his side are still in the ‘preparation phases’ as they continue to prepare for the season ahead, despite playing two games during the week against AS Togo-Port and Amakhosi.
‘We are on preparation phases. Three weeks back. First 90 minutes for the group that played today. There is another group that played Champions League in Togo. At least the players now have 90 minutes in their legs,’ Mosimane said after the game.

‘We had to sacrifice. We were the last one to finish the league that season. We didn’t have enough rest. It shows the experience of our technical team to manage legs and give players rest.
‘We took a different tactical approach. Changed the system. But we need rest. I’m happy with the players that came on. We are playing Maritzburg United tomorrow morning in Atteridgeville. It won’t be a friendly game.’
