Egyptian Premier League outfit Al Assiouty Sport has announced the signing of Gift Links and Benson Shilongo from Platinum Stars.

Links joins the Egyptian side on a four-and-a-half-year deal while Shilongo has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The pair has both only managed to appear twice for Dikwena during the 2017-18 campaign.

The 19-year-old Links rose through the ranks at Dikwena and has been listed as one of the hottest prospects in South African football. He has also been called up once for the national team in preparation for their friendly game against Zambia last summer.

Meanwhile, Namibia international Shilongo moved to Platinum Stars on 6 July 2016 during the transfer window. The striker managed to score five goals and assisted a further one from 21 appearances in all competitions since moving to the club from Botswana side Gaborone United.

Al Assiouty currently occupy 10th place in the Egyptian Premier League table with 23 points and will take on second-placed Ismaily on Monday, where both players will be looking to make their debut for their new club.
