Despite Luc Eymael’s resignation, Polokwane City managed a point as they held Mamelodi Sundowns to a goalless draw on Tuesday.

Sundowns, playing without the injured Khama Billiat, were wasteful in front of goals as Percy Tau and Sibusiso Vilakazi wasted a number of good chances to score what would’ve been the winner.

In fact, Rise and Shine played the match to perfection and almost hurt the Brazilians on the counter.

The goalless draw means Pitso Mosimane’s men have not scored for a third consecutive PSL fixture; the longest run since October 2012.

Sundowns are now four points off the pace but do have two games in hand over leaders Bidvest Wits.
