Cape Town City have announced that Greek defender Giannis Potouridis has signed a new contract with the club.
The 28-year-old defender has been on the books of the Citizens since October last year after joining as a free agent.
However, Potouridis has since pledged his loyalty by signing a two-year deal, which will keep him at the club until June 2022.
Potouridis has become the latest City player to get a contract extension after winger Surprise Ralani, midfielder Mpho Makola and defender Keanu Cupido.
‘The club is delighted to confirm that we have taken up the option to extend the contract of Greek central defender Giannis Potouridis until June 2022,’ a club statement read.
