The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the Absa Premiership will start on the weekend of 2 and 3 August 2019.
The South African domestic league will begin a week after the Carling Black Label clash between Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium on 27 July.
The new campaign will see debutants Stellenbosch FC included in the fixture, while Maritzburg United return to the top flight after winning the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the PSL has also confirmed that the MTN8 round of eight games will be played the week after the league campaign starts.
However, the league will find some difficulty in compiling the fixtures, as four teams will participate in the Caf competitions, including Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates in the Caf Champions League, while Bidvest Wits will be joined by National First Division outfit TS Galaxy in the Caf Confederation Cup.
