The Premier Soccer League received a request from the South African Football Association for assistance by moving some Absa Premiership fixtures during the week and on the weekend ahead of the international break.
This is to give Bafana Bafana enough time to prepare for their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.
Although this season has already presented many challenges to the PSL with regard to fixture scheduling, including the changes necessitated by the Caf calendar changes, the League, in consultation with member clubs, sponsors and broadcasters acceded to the request.
