The PSL have confirmed that the January transfer window has opened as clubs attempt to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season.

The transfer window is expected to be one of the busier in recent seasons with clubs like Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City expected to lead the way in terms of deals.

The PSL newcomers will be looking to bolster their midfield options following the shock departures of international stars Matt Sim and Renars Rode.

Pirates have struggled this season with rumours continuing to suggest that a major overhaul is being planned by the club’s hierarchy.

The domestic window will close on Tuesday, 31 January at 24:00.
