The Premier Soccer League wishes Mamelodi Sundowns good luck ahead of their Caf Champions League semi-final encounter against Zesco United at Levy Mwanawasa on Saturday.
The Brazilians will now travel to Ndola, Zambia, to play Zesco United in the first leg of the semi-finals, with the return leg taking place on September 24.
The PSL acting chief executive Mato Madlala says he is confident that Pitso Mosimane’s men will do well in the African tournament.
‘We are extremely proud of what Mamelodi Sundowns have achieved so far in the Caf Champions League and we are confident they will make the country proud by advancing to the finals,’ Madlala said.
‘As the PSL, we also celebrate this moment of having one of our clubs amongst the top four clubs in the African continent. On behalf of the League and the club members, we would like to wish Mamelodi Sundowns the best of luck in Zambia.
The PSL acting chief executive insists that all South African’s should come out to support the team when they play at home during the second leg tie.
‘We urge South Africans to also get behind them when they are playing at home as their success is directly linked to all of us.’
The match at Levy Mwanawasa kicks off at 15:30.
