Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Sabelo Radebe is motivated to keep improving and proving his worth after setting up the winning goal against Baroka FC in the DStv Premiership this past weekend.
The 22-year-old, who came on as a late substitute against Baroka, set up Khama Billiat for the winning goal deep into stoppage time as Amakhosi ran out 10 victors at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Amakhosi are now up to third place in the DStv Premiership standings with 32 points from 18 matches, 16 points behind log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on 48.
Nicknamed ‘Bibo’, Radebe was upbeat after setting up the match-winning assist and is now looking to make every minute on the field count.
“The chance finally came, so I had to show up. I have been waiting for the chance to play and this will help me keep my attitude positive,” Radebe told his club’s official website.
“I have a great attitude – that’s why I made an impact. I just keep on motivating myself to keep going.
“I knew I had control of the ball I and got there before the defender. I was close to the goals and I saw something coming. The guys made good movement, which opened up the chance for us.
“I am proud of myself and the team and thankful to the coach for this opportunity. We need to keep on winning. We need to pull up our socks and keep on aiming for more points,” concluded Radebe.
