Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sabelo Radebe says his side are relishing the chance to take on SuperSport United in their next DStv Premiership clash on Saturday.
The Soweto giants will be hoping to bounce back when they welcome a wounded Matsatsantsa side to the FNB Stadium with both teams looking for a positive result in Soweto.
Amakhosi come into this fixture sitting in third place on the league standings – level on 39 points with fifth placed Cape Town City and fourth placed Orlando Pirates, while United are in eighth place, eight points behind Chiefs with 31 points after 24 matches.
Radebe is confident his side can claim a positive result and snatch all three points from SuperSport in front of the Amakhosi faithfuls.
“It is a great feeling, having people cheer you on and motivate you to give it that extra go. It is a huge motivation for us. It’s been a long time now without fans, it will be almost like starting all over again with them, we are happy to have them back,” Radebe told www.kaizerchiefs.com.
“I am really looking forward to the cheering of the fans. I’m really proud to represent the club and nervous at the same time. As for the preparations for the SuperSport game so far so good. The gents have been pushing and the coach has been pushing us. We are ready as a team and everyone is up to the challenge, so we are going to make sure we give our best to improve our position in the league.”
Of this weekend’s clash against SuperSport, Radebe said: “They can play, but we can deal with them.”
