Despite the differences in success over the last few seasons, the two teams know that the encounter will be a tight one with both teams looking to get off to a good start.
Rama revealed in the buildup to the game that Chiefs are going to Loftus with the intention of having a go at Mosimane’s team.

‘It’s good that we start with Sundowns. We played them last week [in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup] and they are a very strong team.
‘We are going to their home ground and it is going to be tough, but I think we have worked very hard in the pre-season and as much as we are not where we want to be, we are going to have a go.
‘We are going to be prepared and stand on our own… we will give it a go.
‘I am confident that we can bring something out of the game,’ concluded Rama.
Sundowns and Chiefs will do battle at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday afternoon. Kick-off is set for 3pm.
