Mamelodi Sundowns striker Pavol Šafranko admits that Royal AM will be a “very tough” team to beat when the two sides meet at the Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Brazilians will be crowned DStv Premiership champions for the fifth successive season in their final game against Thwihli Thwahla in Chatsworth, Durban.

Sundowns are now on course to complete the domestic treble after they were crowned MTN8 champions, while also booking their place in the Nedbank Cup final after defeating Royal AM 2-1 at the Chatsworth Stadium in April.

However, Šafranko says his side can expect a tough showing against Thwihli Thwahla as they look to cap their league campaign with a positive result.

“I’m sure Royal AM will not be an easy opponent to beat, but what we can do and what’s in our DNA is to win games, we will do our best. I came here to score goals and I will try to score in this game,” Šafranko told his club’s official website.

“I think we will face a team that will be very tough to beat. Royal AM’s defence is quite good, they are quite physical and strong.

“Even when we played them in the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup they gave us a tough time, but we have to keep on focusing on ourselves and hopefully we can beat them again.”
