Kaizer Chiefs defender Yagan Sasman says he is adapting well to his new club and relishing the chance to build his own legacy at the club.
The 23-year-old joined Amakhosi at the start of the season as a free agent after his release by Ajax Cape Town.
Sasman, who spent five years with the Urban Warriors first team, put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Glamour Boys back in July 2019.
Sasman is pleased with the way his first campaign with Amakhosi is currently going, after scoring one goal while featuring 14 times across all competitions so far this season.
‘Being at Chiefs has been an honour,’ Sasman told his club’s official website.
‘I hope to build a legacy and follow in former legends’ footsteps. My teammates have helped me a lot and the club has guided me by assisting me the players and fans have welcomed which has made my transition to the club easy.’
With the guidance of his father and partner, Sasman is able to keep energised with a well-balanced diet.
‘I am quite handy in the kitchen because my father is a chef and I learned a lot from him, so I have been practising making my own meals,’ he added.
‘I try to gain the nutrition I need to be able to fast and train correctly. It is the first time that I am away from home for such a lengthy time, so it helps that I can cook; my partner has been helping me a lot as well.’
