Ajax Cape Town and Cape Town City have failed to lure midfielder Granwald Scott back to the Mother City with the player opting to join Bidvest Wits.
Scott left South Africa in January 2016 to join Slovakia side Slovan Bratislava but returned home in December to continue his playing career in the PSL.
Scott has now agreed to join Gavin Hunt at Wits after spending some time training at the Johannesburg club.
‘Granwald Scott joins Bidvest Wits as a free agent from SK Slovan Bratislava (to whom he was permanently transferred and sold by Ajax Cape Town in January 2016),’ said Wits’ CEO Jose Ferreira.
The Clever Boys also confirmed that Thato Tlhone will join the club from Free State Stars on 1 July after signing a ‘pre contract’.
The former Urban Warriors captain, now 29, failed to score in 29 appearances for Slovan Bratislava before departing Europe.
