Mamelodi Sundowns star Peter Shalulile credits the brotherhood within the squad after he bagged a hat-trick in their 4-2 victory over Swallows FC in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday evening.

The Brazilians have stretched their lead to 11 points at the summit of the DStv Premiership standings following their win over Dylan Kerr’s side at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg.

Following his hat-trick against Swallows, the Namibia striker is now edging closer to reaching the 20-goal mark in the league after taking his tally to 18 in the DStv Premiership.

Although Shalulile was delighted to have bagged three goals, he was more happy to see the team claim a positive result and walk away with maximum points away from home.

“It was not easy coming here. We knew that it was going to be a tough game but we came prepared and got the three points,” Shalulile told SuperSport TV after the game.

“They are a good team. You saw how they came second half but we kept playing to our tactics. We knew that they would crack and we would score goals.

“It’s something that we work on in training. They have more of a high line and in a high line there are spaces behind and you can capitalise on that.

“The most important thing is brotherhood. We are one. If one can score more goals, why not support him. That’s what happens and we keep on going.”
