Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas praised his substitutes for their contributions during the 4-1 victory over Cape Town City on Saturday.
A Khama Billiat brace and goals from Siyabonga Ngezana and Philani Zulu cancelled out Matthew Rusike’s first-half equaliser as the Amakhosi claimed their first three points of the current season.
The Italian tactician says he was pleased with Bernard Parker and Zulu’s performance after making an impact off the bench.
‘I’m very happy, my boys deserve to win the game. I want to thank my guys because they played a brilliant game. Everyone played very well today,’ Solinas told SuperSport TV after the match.
‘It’s a pity that we lost [Leonardo] Castro early but I have good players on the bench. The players who came in played very well. Bernard Parker, [Philani] Zulu, the performance is very good today from everyone.
‘We created a lot of chances, it’s okay I’m happy for the result. I’m also happy for our fans. They pushed the players for this result so this victory is for our fans.’
