Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has insisted that he will not give up on his goals with the club after suffering another damaging defeat to Orlando Pirates.
The Amakhosi were beaten 2-1 by their arch-rivals in the Telkom Knockout semi-final on Saturday in front of a packed-out Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The result saw a record for the longest winless streak by a Chiefs side against Pirates, 11 matches, and was the second time that the Glamour Boys lost to the Buccaneers in as many months.

Chiefs will now have to wait a while longer to get another crack at ending their three-year trophy drought, after also failing in MTN8 earlier on in the campaign.
Speaking to the media after the defeat, Solinas stated that although the defeat was painful, he has no plans to give up his goals of achieving success with the Glamour Boys.
‘We started the season with several targets, several objectives.
‘The first one was the MTN8 and now we lost the opportunity to win this cup (TKO). Now we have three more trophies – the league, Caf Confederation Cup and the Nedbank Cup. We’ll continue fighting.
‘Me, I know I’ll never give up. Me, I’ll continue to work hard to try and win the trophies. I’ll try to improve the team. Me, I’ll never give up. Yes, I feel pain today, it’s very painful.’
