Italian coach Giovanni Solinas says he is well aware of the ‘big responsibility’ that comes with coaching a club of Kaizer Chiefs’ calibre.
The 50-year-old was replaced Steve Komphela as the club’s new head coach after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal deal with the option for a one-year extension.
Solinas, who brings with him a wealth of experience having coached in Algeria, Saudi Arabia and South Africa’ says he is excited about his new role as head coach and is relishing the chance to repay the faith Amakhosi has shown in him.
‘It’s a big opportunity as Kaizer Chiefs are a big club, not only in South Africa but also on the African continent,’ Solinas told his new club’s official website.
‘Coaching a club of this magnitude comes with a big responsibility. I will work hard day and night to make the Kaizer Chiefs Family and the supporters happy.
