Jomo Cosmos head coach Jomo Sono says he will retire as coach if he does not gain promotion back to the Absa Premiership.
The chairman of Cosmos spoke exclusively to former SuperSport TV presenter Robert Marawa in an hour-long interview on his YouTube channel Marawa TV last week.
In the interview, Sono reveals that he is determined to lead his side back to the South African top flight, while confirming that if he is unable to do so he’ll retire from coaching.
However, Cosmos currently occupy 14th place on the GladAfrica Championship table with 19 points after 20 games, having won only four games, drawn seven and suffered nine defeats, with 10 games remaining in the current season.
‘I will come back,’ Sono told Marawa.
‘You can vouch, next year I will be back [in the Absa Premiership]. If I don’t, I will retire.’
