Orlando Pirates forward Thabiso Lebitso says it was a dream come true after playing and scoring a “beautiful goal in the Soweto derby.
The 32-year-old joined the Buccaneers from Chippa United during the January transfer window and has already made four appearances for the club across all competitions.
However, Lebitso made his first appearance in the Soweto derby and scored the equalising goal to make it 2-2 before he was replaced in the 88th minute by Thabiso Monyane as Pirates went on to win the game 3-2 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday,
Lebitso was proud and honoured to feature in the Soweto derby and he believes he scored a beautiful goal in a “dream come true” fixture for him.
“It was a beautiful goal I just saw it now, so it was a beautiful goal and it’s a welcoming for me to play for this big institute,” Lebitso told Orlando Pirates Twitter page.
“Its a privilege for me on this atmosphere; its a very nice atmosphere, I’ve been wishing to play on this atmosphere.
“Its a dream come true for me because I don’t want to lie its a very beautiful goal.”
