Orlando Pirates forward Thembinkosi Lorch has promised to continue to deliver silverware following their triumph over Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup trophy.
The Buccaneers won their fifth Carling Black Label Cup trophy after defeating Soweto rivals Amakhosi 2-0 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Lorch, who was voted Man of the Match by the supporters, got his name on the score sheet after scoring Pirates second goal with a superb curling effort from outside the area in the first half.
‘I want to thank God for the talent he gave me and I promise to honour it,’ Lorch told Supersport TV after the game.
‘When I received the ball, I could see the goalkeeper was off his line and I knew where I should put it.’
After spell short of claiming the Absa Premiership title last season, Lorch has vowed to deliver more silverware.
‘I want to promise them that we will win trophies for them. They must keep on coming to the stadium to support us. We appreciate them.’
