Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has revealed that Reeve Frosler and Kearyn Baccus will be available for their mouth-watering clash against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
Frosler and Baccus are set to make their much-anticipated return when Amakhosi welcome the Buccaneers to the FNB Stadium after returning from their respective injuries.
The Glamour Boys will head into this encounter high in confidence after claiming their fifth consecutive win in the Absa Premiership when they beat Chippa United 2-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday.
The Soweto giants have now stretched their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership standings to seven points over second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a game in hand.
‘I have feedback already that the other players are available for selection in the next game. The reports I have received from home is that even Reeve Frosler and Kearyn Baccus should be ready for Saturday,’ Middendorp told his club’s official website.
‘The games before and after the Soweto Derby are tricky. This one is more complicated and needed some juggling. Playing a Derby two weekends in a row and having a midweek game was always a challenge. A huge compliment goes to the players. They are really coming to the party and adapting well to the situation.’
The match at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 3:30pm on Saturday.
