Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp admits that Dumisani Zuma’s performance against Chippa United will enhance his chances to make the starting lineup against Orlando Pirates.

Two late goals by Zuma helped Amakhosi secure a 2-0 victory over the Chilli Boys in their previous Absa Premiership clash at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday night.

Middendorp has hinted at selecting Zuma for their much-anticipated Soweto derby clash with Pirates following his impressive performances during their midweek PSL action.

‘If a player scores two goals coming out of the game, I think it’s not a secret, we coaches around the world we think, “hmm, he’s in such a good mood”; he can be an option for the Saturday game, there’s no doubt about it,’ Middendorp told the media.

Kaizer Chiefs will welcome Orlando Pirates to the FNB Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Saturday, with kick-off set for 3:30pm.
