Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp admitted that he was not happy with the 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates saying he felt his side had enough chance to seal the three points, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

The Amakhosi looked on their way to ending their 11-match winless streak against the Buccaneers when Daniel Cardoso fired home from the penalty spot after Khama Billiat earned a penalty in the 53rd minute.

Chiefs then had a number of chances to kill off the game on the counter attack as Pirates threw men forward in search of an equaliser.

The Glamour Boys were then made to pay when Thembinkhosi Lorch snatched a leveller with 10 minutes to play, securing a point for the Sea Robbers, extending Chiefs’ record winless run against their arch rivals.

Speaking after the match the German coach admitted that he was not satisfied with the result as he thought they had enough openings to kill off the game.

‘Of course, we had were leading 1-0 and the then there were some opportunities in the following five-ten minutes to use some confusion against what is a very good team, there is no doubt about that they play (Caf) Champions League football.

‘You must use this and put the drive in. What I would say is we should have put more drive in to go and score the second goal.

‘In general, 90 minutes I would say I’m not happy with this result,’ concluded Middendorp.
