Kaizer Chiefs meet Orlando Pirates in a mammoth Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-final clash on Saturday, and Ernst Middendorp will be hoping they can continue their current form.
The Glamour Boys will battle it out with Pirates for a spot in the semi-finals of the knockout tournament as their journey to end their four-year trophy drought continues.
Chiefs will be without the services of Kearyn Baccus, who sustained an injury during their Telkom Knockout win over Cape Town City, and Reeve Frosler, who was forced off the field during their win over Sundowns this past weekend.
Meanwhile, Daniel Akpeyi will continue between the sticks for Amakhosi in place of the injured Itumeleng Khune after his impressive performance against Sundowns.
George Maluleka is likely to keep his place in the starting XI after replacing Baccus in the team last weekend, while Samir Nurkovic could be in line to continue up front for Chiefs after scoring a brace against Pitso Mosimane’s side.
Predicted Kaizer Chiefs starting lineup:
Daniel Akpeyi, Yagan Sasman, Eric Mathoho, Daniel Cardoso, George Maluleka, Njabulo Blom, Willard Katsande, Lebogang Manyama, Khama Billiat, Samir Nurković and Leonardo Castro.
