Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Shabalala is confident that this generation of players has the capability to bring silverware to Amakhosi.
The 19-year-old has been one of Amakhosi’s standout performers since breaking into the first team earlier this year and has already bagged two goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.
Amakhosi will have to opportunity to book their place in the Nedbank Cup final when they take on Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
However, Shabalala believes that the young players at the club are hungry to bring the glory days back to Chiefs.
“It’s been a long time since Kaizer Chiefs has won a final. I’m in my first season and it would be a great experience for me to get to that final and win it,” Shabalala said.
“We want to win it. This is the generation to bring the silverware to Kaizer Chiefs, and it’s going to start on Saturday.”
