Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic may be attracting interest from clubs across Africa, but says he is loyal to the Buccaneers and anyone interested in him should speak to chairman Irvin Khoza.
Reports over the weekend suggested that Egyptian Premier League side Zamalek are interested in bringing the Serbian coach to the club.
Sredojevic, however, was quick to reaffirm his commitment to the Soweto giants when asked about the potential interest.
‘There are a lot of teams that are interested in me – from Egypt, Sudan, Zambia, Morocco, and other places – but I am a soldier employed by Pirates,’ Sredojevic told the media.
‘I am loyal to my football father, [club chairman] Irvin Khoza. If anyone wants to talk to me they need to speak to him first. While I am here I will be loyal. I will always love any team that have given me a chance to coach.
‘If I am moved from being the coach, I will wear the supporters jersey and go sit with them in the stands,’ concluded the Pirates boss.
Sredojevic joined Pirates two seasons ago and has played a major role in helping transform the team from the league laughing stock to a squad capable of competing for honours on all fronts.
