Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic revealed that Thamsanqa Sangweni could make a surprise comeback when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.

The Buccaneers head into their next Absa Premiership clash after playing out to a 0-0 draw with Golden Arrows at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday.

The midfielder has been nursing his way back to full fitness after he suffered a knee injury during Pirates’ opening PSL clash against Chippa United.

‘Sangweni could surprise you and be back to his position on the field. He has been working very well and is in a positive state of mind with his working in training,’ Sredojevic said ahead of their PSL clash against Celtic.

The 48-year-old says he is looking forward to going toe-toe-toe with his mentor, Veselin Jelusic, when the two sides clash on Sunday.

‘Sunday will be the clash of the the teacher and the student when we play Bloem Celtic. Veselin Jelusic was my professor when I was studying. I will show him what I have learned. He’s a top-class gentleman,’ he added.

Orlando Pirates will now travel to the Dr Molemela Stadium when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, with kick-off set for 15:30.
