Former Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has opened up on whether or not he will return to the Buccaneers for a third stint.
The 50-year-old coach recently made headlines after he left his head coach role at Egyptian giants Zamalek after just 137 days.
The Serbian coach took charge of the Egyptian side in August, days after surprisingly resigning from his post at the Soweto giants.
His sacking comes after a difficult few months at Zamalek, having won seven games, playing out to one stalemate and conceding four defeats in 12 games, while winning the Egyptian Cup in September.
However, Sredojevic has now revealed that he was not sacked by the Egyptian giants as there was a mutual agreement between them.
‘It was a mutual agreement between two parties that I left Zamalek,’ Sredojevic said on Marawa Sports World.
Sredojevic also confirmed that he has already been receiving offers from several clubs and national teams, who are interested in his services.
‘So many people contacted me from the national and club level, but I want to switch off a little bit. I firstly need to do some introspection before I make any decision,’ he confirmed.
When asked if he regrets leaving Pirates for Zamalek, Serdojevic said: ‘I don’t regret moving there. It’s a huge lesson for me.
’Unfortunately due to circumstances, I am not in a position to explain why I left Orlando Pirates. I would like to apologise to Orlando Pirates fans who feel betrayed. It’s a closed chapter now.
‘I have no right to say whether I want to go back to Orlando Pirates or not because I left the club. Let’s call it impossible.
‘The first option will be to coach a national team because Afcon 2021 is around the corner.’
